Art has always evolved alongside technology. With MARILYN LOVE, I wanted to create something that honors one of the most iconic women in history while pushing the boundaries of contemporary sculpture and modern manufacturing.

This one-of-a-kind mixed-media artwork measures approximately 36 x 48 inches and combines digital sculpting, mathematical design, high-resolution resin printing, hand-finishing, fluorescent pigments, epoxy resin, and precision mounting techniques into a single statement piece.
What appears to be hundreds of individual layers stacked together is actually a single sculptural form engineered to create the illusion of movement, depth, and dimension.
THE IDEA
Marilyn Monroe remains one of the most recognizable figures in modern culture. Decades after her passing, her image continues to symbolize beauty, confidence, glamour, vulnerability, and timeless influence.
Rather than creating a traditional portrait, I wanted to reinterpret Marilyn through the lens of contemporary art, technology, and sculpture.
The goal was to create a piece that changes as the viewer moves around it—an artwork that feels alive.
DIGITAL SCULPTING
The process began with a fully sculpted three-dimensional bust of Marilyn Monroe.
Every contour, facial feature, and proportion was carefully refined in a digital sculpting environment. Once the portrait was complete, I used advanced slicing algorithms, mathematical modeling, and custom design techniques to transform the sculpture into hundreds of layered contours.
The result creates the illusion that the sculpture has been sliced into individual sections and physically stacked one on top of another.
In reality, the entire sculpture remains a single continuous form.
This visual contradiction is what makes the piece so compelling. Depending on the viewing angle, the artwork appears to shift, vibrate, and move through space.
8K RESIN PRINTING
Once the digital design was finalized, the sculpture was produced using a professional-grade 8K resin printer.
I selected resin printing because it captures an extraordinary level of detail that would be difficult to achieve through traditional fabrication methods.
Every layer, curve, edge, and transition was reproduced with exceptional precision, preserving the integrity of the original digital sculpture.
The print served as the foundation for the artwork, but it was only the beginning of the process.
SANDING, PRIMING, AND SURFACE PREPARATION
Creating a museum-quality finish requires patience.
After printing, the sculpture underwent extensive sanding and surface refinement. Multiple rounds of sanding and priming were necessary to eliminate imperfections while maintaining the intricate layered geometry.
This stage often takes longer than the printing itself.
Every surface was carefully prepared to ensure the final finish would appear smooth, luxurious, and visually seamless.
GLOW-IN-THE-DARK POP ART FINISH
Once the sculpture was prepared, I applied multiple layers of fluorescent and glow-in-the-dark paint inspired by the bold energy of Pop Art.
The vibrant colors pay homage to the spirit of Andy Warhol while introducing a modern sculptural interpretation.
During the day, the artwork displays striking contrasts of color and texture.
Under ultraviolet light, the sculpture transforms into an entirely different experience, emitting a luminous glow that amplifies the depth and layered structure of the piece.
The transformation creates two distinct personalities within a single artwork.
THREE LAYERS OF CRYSTAL-CLEAR EPOXY RESIN
To enhance both durability and visual impact, the sculpture was sealed beneath three separate layers of crystal-clear, food-safe epoxy resin.
The resin creates remarkable depth while magnifying the colors beneath the surface.
Light interacts with the glossy finish from every angle, creating reflections that emphasize the dimensional quality of the sculpture.
The result is a luxurious glass-like appearance that elevates the piece beyond traditional wall art.
FLOATING PLEXIGLASS PRESENTATION
The finished sculpture is mounted using premium stainless-steel hardware onto a thick sheet of clear plexiglass.
The plexiglass was custom engraved with Marilyn Monroe’s name and signature, creating an elegant foundation that complements the artwork without distracting from it.
The mounting system allows the sculpture to float away from the wall, creating shadows and depth that become part of the overall visual experience.
Whether displayed in a modern residence, luxury penthouse, executive office, gallery, or private collection, the artwork commands attention while maintaining sophistication.
WHERE ART MEETS TECHNOLOGY
MARILYN LOVE represents my passion for blending traditional artistic vision with modern technology.
From digital sculpting and mathematical slicing techniques to high-resolution resin printing, hand-finishing, fluorescent pigments, epoxy encapsulation, and precision mounting, every stage of the process contributes to the final experience.
This artwork is not simply a portrait.
It is a conversation between art and innovation.
A celebration of an icon.
And a reminder that even a familiar face can be transformed into something entirely new.
