The Venus Series — HYPNOTIQ's Sound-Reactive Botticelli Reimagined

Botticelli's Venus has been reimagined hundreds of times since 1485. Andy Warhol silkscreened her. Jeff Koons cast her in mirrored steel. KAWS reinvented her face. But none of those interpretations did what HYPNOTIQ's Venus Series does: she listens to the room, reacts to the music, and changes color on command. The Venus Series is HYPNOTIQ's most ambitious project to date — a body of work that takes the most-referenced figure in western art history and runs it through the lens of fiber-optic engineering, motorized kinetic design, and smart-tablet integration.

The Series at a Glance
The Venus Series consists of two signature pieces and a growing roster of commissioned variations. Venus Reborn is the wall masterwork — a hand-sculpted plaster Venus rising through mirrored butterflies on a 36x40 inch panel with integrated multi-mode fiber optics that pulse to sound. Dancing Venus is the free-standing companion piece — a laser-cut translucent plexiglass figure on an LED-illuminated motorized turntable with an embedded Samsung Wi-Fi smart tablet driving custom light and sound choreography.
Venus Reborn — The Wall Masterwork
The wall Venus is sculpted by hand in plaster, then finished with hundreds of mirrored butterfly fragments hand-applied across the surface. Embedded fiber optics thread through the form, terminating in microscopic light points that pulse softly in ambient mode or sync rapidly with whatever music is in the room. The piece is sound-reactive: turn on the stereo and the fiber optics dance to the beat. Sit with it in silence and the lights breathe at sixty beats per minute, the resting heart rate of meditation practice. The owner controls everything via a hidden touch interface — ambient pulse, slow breathe, sound-sync, or any custom mode commissioned to the room.
Medium: Hand-sculpted plaster, hand-applied mirrored elements, integrated multi-mode fiber-optic system, sound-reactive controller, automotive-grade gloss seal.
Dimensions: 36" x 40" wall-mounted. Custom larger commission versions available up to 96".
Edition: One of one. Signed verso. Tech-Art Masterwork Series.
Warranty: Lifetime warranty on the fiber-optic system. White-glove installation included.
Dancing Venus — The Rotating Plexiglass Sculpture
Dancing Venus is the studio's most-photographed piece for a reason. The translucent plexiglass figure is laser-cut to exact specifications and mounted on a motorized turntable that rotates at customizable speed. The base houses an embedded Samsung Wi-Fi smart tablet with full streaming-music capability — Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music — and the LEDs inside the base sync to whatever is playing. The owner picks the color palette, the tempo of light changes, the rotation speed, and what music plays. Walk into the room at 8pm and Dancing Venus is a kinetic light-and-sound performance. Walk past her at 8am and she reads as quiet architectural sculpture catching morning sun.
A monument-scale version of Dancing Venus left the studio at $15,000 to a private collector. Custom larger commissions are open.
Where the Venus Series Belongs
The Venus Series belongs in spaces designed to perform. Boutique hotels use Dancing Venus as the signature anchor object in lobbies — the piece guests photograph the moment they walk in. Restaurants and lounges use the wall Venus as an installation that transforms when the music shifts. Private collectors place the Venus pieces in primary living spaces, home theaters, and signature foyers where directional lighting and integrated audio are already part of the room. The works are engineered for permanence: commercial-grade fiber optics with field-replaceable LED engines, serviceable motorized bearings on the Dancing Venus base, and tablets that can be swapped or upgraded as device generations turn over.
Acquire or Commission
The Venus Series is available for direct acquisition from HYPNOTIQ. Commission inquiries for larger-scale variations — wall pieces up to 96 inches, monument-scale plexiglass Venus pieces, multi-piece hospitality installations — are welcomed. Begin a conversation at info@hypnotiqxperience.com or via the Private Acquisition Inquiry button on any HYPNOTIQ product page. Typical lead time for a custom Venus commission runs 8 to 12 weeks depending on scale and technology integration. Each piece ships with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Arian Lori-Amini.
