ETERNAL BLOSSOM | Pearl Silk Magnolia on Molded Plexiglas | HYPNOTIQ
An original contemporary sculptural artwork by Arian Lori-Amini, known professionally as HYPNOTIQ.
ETERNAL BLOSSOM sets a sculpted magnolia on a base of Plexiglas that has been heated, folded and hand molded into a soft, gathered form. The acrylic behaves like fabric caught mid fall, and the flower rests where the folds gather, so a rigid industrial sheet is made to read as something draped.
Each work in this series is an individual sculpture. All three colorways are available to purchase directly on this page. Use the selector to choose the one you want.
The contrast between the two elements carries the work. The magnolia is layered, organic and pearlescent; the base is saturated, opaque and glass hard. Because every base is formed by hand, no two pieces fold identically, and each colorway resolves at a slightly different scale and posture.
Each flower is 3D printed in silk pearl white filament worked together with chrome silver silk filament. The result is a bloom that shifts between soft pearl sheen and bright metallic catch as the light moves, and against the strong colour of the base the petals appear lit from inside.
The series is offered in three colorways, each an individual sculpture at its own scale.
Cyan Blue is the most compact of the group at 6.5 W x 5.75 D x 6.5 H inches, on a hand molded cyan blue Plexiglas base. Its smaller footprint suits a bedside table, a desk, a bathroom vanity or a bookshelf.
Bright Green is the largest at 11 W x 11.5 D x 9 H inches, on a hand molded bright green opaque Plexiglas base. Its wider spread makes it the strongest choice for a dining table centre, a wide console or a coffee table.
Vermilion Lacquer completes the group with a base in vermilion, a high saturation orange red lacquer. Dimensions for this colorway are available from the studio on request.
All three are freestanding table sculptures. They suit contemporary and luxury interiors, collectors of botanical and floral sculpture, and designers looking for a single point of colour in a neutral room. Grouped as a set of three the colorways read as one collection.
Every work in this series is a freestanding table sculpture. Wall mounted views shown in the gallery are styling visuals only; the wall format is not a separate available work.
All three colorways are available to purchase directly on this page, each at the same price.
