SNOOPY LOVE | 18 Inch Glitter Resin Pop Art Sculpture | HYPNOTIQ

An original contemporary sculptural artwork by Arian Lori-Amini, known professionally as HYPNOTIQ.
This large scale seated figure takes one of the most beloved silhouettes in twentieth century illustration and rebuilds it as contemporary sculpture at 18 inches tall. The pose is instantly familiar; everything else about the object is not.
The body is fabricated in predominantly white recycled PLA, its surface kept clean and uninterrupted so the silhouette carries the piece. Across the chest, the word LOVE is set in a violet Glacier laser stencil typeface, a deliberately technical, machine cut letterform that pulls the character out of the comic page and into the visual language of streetwear graphics and contemporary pop art.
A purple collar sits at the neck, and black sparkle finishing is applied to the nose, eyes, ears, mouth, eyebrows and tail. That sparkle is what stops the piece from reading as a toy: at close range the black areas break into fine glitter, so the darkest parts of the sculpture are also the most active in the light.
The finished figure is then sealed under two thick layers of food safe clear epoxy resin infused with fine glitter. This is what gives the work its depth. The white does not read as flat paint but as colour held beneath glass, and because the glitter is suspended inside the resin rather than sitting on top of it, the shimmer runs across the entire body instead of only the black details. Light moves through the coating before it reflects, which is why the surface changes as you walk past it.
The contrast is simple and effective. A broad field of luminous white, punctuated by two saturated violet accents and a set of glittering black anchor points, all held under one continuous high gloss shell.
At 18 inches this is a floor adjacent or plinth scale work rather than a shelf object. It suits an entry, a landing, a gallery wall corner, a retail or hospitality interior, or a collection of large format pop art figures. It appeals to pop art collectors, designer toy collectors at scale, and interior designers placing a single friendly focal point in an otherwise restrained room.
