DREAM KISSES is a large format wall work in layered resin and mixed media, building a dreamlike field of lips and kisses across a single surface.
The work. Created in 2023, the piece takes an intimate gesture and scales it to a gallery statement. A kiss is by definition close range and private; repeated across a large surface it becomes a pattern, and a pattern is public. That shift from private to public is what the work is actually about.
The form. The lip forms are layered at different depths rather than printed flat, so the surface throws real shadow and the field reads as having weather. Some marks sit crisp and forward, others recede, and the composition never fully resolves into a grid.
Colour and finish. The studio's glossy language runs across the whole panel, so the piece behaves like a lacquered surface and picks up the room's lighting as part of the image.
Materials and craft. Resin, mixed media, acrylics and spray paint under an epoxy seal and high gloss finish, with gallery wall mounting hardware included.
