DUCATI | Neon Glow Smart Mannequin Sculpture | HYPNOTIQ

An original contemporary artwork by Arian Lori-Amini, known professionally as HYPNOTIQ.
DUCATI is a one-of-a-kind interactive smart mannequin sculpture created in 2022. The work transforms a full standing female mannequin into a futuristic fusion of automotive culture, fashion, light and digital media.
The work. The sculpture is built around a full-height figure wearing Ducati-inspired racing apparel and helmet treatment, with a live digital display integrated into the torso and a dramatic pair of oversized black wings extending from the back. The wings create the defining silhouette of the piece and push the sculpture well beyond the footprint of a conventional mannequin.
The experience. UV-reactive and glow-in-the-dark finishes, LED black lighting and the integrated Samsung Wi-Fi touchscreen add a live digital and illuminated dimension to the physical sculpture. In normal light the work reads as a saturated mixed-media figure; under black light the fluorescent surfaces activate and the work changes character.
Materials and craft. Full standing mannequin, Ducati-inspired racing garments and helmet treatment, sculptural wings, integrated Samsung Wi-Fi touchscreen, UV neon glow-in-the-dark paint, LED black lighting, resin finish, spray paint, acrylics and epoxy seal.
