LOVE PURSE | Neon LOVE Clutch Wearable Art | HYPNOTIQ

An original contemporary artwork by Arian Lori-Amini, known professionally as HYPNOTIQ.
The LOVE PURSE is the clutch scale piece in the HYPNOTIQ wearable art line: a small purse carrying the studio's hand applied neon LOVE lettering.
The work. The purse takes an everyday fashion object and turns it into a carrier for the studio's central motif. At this scale the lettering fills almost the entire face of the piece, so the object reads as a graphic first and an accessory second, which is the opposite of how a handbag normally works.
The form. Compact and flat, sized for a clutch rather than a tote, with the LOVE mark worked across the front panel. Because each is finished by hand, the letterforms and their edges differ from piece to piece.
Colour and finish. The lettering is worked in fluorescent neon, so it lifts sharply off the body of the purse and reads as luminous under club and evening lighting rather than simply bright.
For the collector. It works carried and it works displayed, and it anchors a vanity, a dressing room shelf or a display cabinet between wearings. It is the most accessible piece in the LOVE family and a natural companion to the Love Ties and the sunglasses.
