MIRROR SILHOUETTE is a wall installation built from a mirrored female form in layered dimensional relief, so the subject is multiplied through the room rather than contained on the wall.
The work. Created in 2022, the piece takes one of art history's most enduring subjects and removes the one thing usually taken for granted: a fixed appearance. Because the surface is mirrored, the figure is filled with whatever is in front of it, which means the viewer is inside the artwork every time they look at it. Subject and audience become impossible to separate.
The form. The silhouette is built in layers that sit at different depths from the wall, so the relief casts real shadow and the reflection breaks into planes rather than returning a single clean image. It is kinetic without a motor: nothing moves, but nothing stays the same either.
The experience. Light moves across the work differently every hour. In morning sun it blazes; under evening lighting it quiets down to a low shimmer. The change is produced entirely by the intelligence of the materials rather than by electricity.
