NEON BALLOON DOG II | UV Luminous Pop Art Sculpture | HYPNOTIQ

An original contemporary artwork by Arian Lori-Amini, known professionally as HYPNOTIQ.
NEON BALLOON DOG II is the second work in the HYPNOTIQ neon balloon dog series, taking the same UV reactive concept to a different scale and colour expression.
The work. Created in 2022, the piece continues an idea rather than replacing it, which is deliberate. The balloon dog is the most recognisable form in contemporary sculpture, and working it twice in neon is a way of testing how much a single idea can carry. Same dialogue, different conversation.
The form. The twisted balloon silhouette reads instantly from any angle, and because the surface is UV reactive rather than simply painted, the colour behaves differently under different light rather than staying fixed. Shown beside its companion piece the two read as a series; alone the work is entirely self sufficient.
Materials and craft. A 3D printed structural core with UV neon reactive paint, resin, acrylics and epoxy under a high gloss finish, on a weighted display base.
For the collector. A tabletop or plinth work for a lounge, media room, studio, bar or retail interior, and particularly effective in a space that can be taken dark. It suits pop art collectors and collectors of UV and light reactive sculpture.
