SEE THROUGH LOVE | Translucent Resin Heart Sculpture | HYPNOTIQ

An original contemporary artwork by Arian Lori-Amini, known professionally as HYPNOTIQ.
SEE THROUGH LOVE is a translucent resin heart in deep pink, carrying hand painted graffiti LOVE lettering across its face and raised on a slim chrome stem above a round base.
The work. The heart is the most overused symbol available to an artist, which is exactly why the material choice matters here. Casting it translucent means light passes through the form rather than stopping at it, so the colour deepens toward the edges and glows where the section is thinnest. A shape everyone has seen ten thousand times starts behaving like something that has to be looked at properly.
The form. A full, rounded heart, deliberately generous rather than stylised, mounted on a polished stem so it floats clear of its base and can be read from both sides. The graffiti LOVE tag is applied across the front in bright contrasting colour, and because the body is translucent the lettering casts its own shadow through the resin.
Colour and finish. Deep translucent pink through the body, shifting toward magenta and crimson depending on the light behind it, with a high gloss surface. Placed with a light source behind, the whole heart lifts and the interior colour becomes the subject.
For the collector. Shown on a plinth, a console, a windowsill or a gallery stand, and best given something behind it for the light to work with. It has been exhibited in gallery settings. It suits collectors of pop art, love and heart iconography, and translucent or light based resin work.
