TWISTED LOVE is a spiralling abstract form in high gloss resin, simultaneously chaotic in its geometry and precisely balanced in its structure.
The work. Created in 2022, the piece is the most abstract work in a catalogue built largely on recognisable subjects, and that shift is intentional. Love as a subject is usually handled through symbols, hearts and figures and words. Handling it as pure form instead means the emotional reading has to come from the twist itself, from tension and resolution rather than from iconography.
The form. The spiral changes completely from every viewing angle, and there is no single correct front. At 18 inches it has enough height for the twist to develop properly, and the unbroken gloss lets a single reflection travel the whole length of the turn, which is what makes the geometry legible.
Materials and craft. A 3D printed and hand sculpted twisted form in resin with acrylics, spray paint and epoxy under a high gloss automotive finish, on a display base.
For the collector. Abstract enough to live with comfortably and to sit in almost any interior, emotional enough to stay interesting over years. It suits collectors who want a piece that reads differently in different chapters, and it works in a living room, study, entry or gallery corner.
