VENUS 5.0 | Five Foot Interactive Kinetic Sculpture | HYPNOTIQ

An original contemporary artwork by Arian Lori-Amini, known professionally as HYPNOTIQ.
VENUS 5.0 is a monumental five foot freestanding sculpture from the Renaissance 2.0 series, reimagining the classical female form through slice layered acrylic, street art surface work and sound reactive light.
The work. The classical torso is one of the most reproduced forms in Western art. Here it is rebuilt not as a solid mass but as a stack of optical acrylic slices, so the figure is simultaneously present and see through. Depending on where the viewer stands, the body either resolves into a continuous surface or dissolves into its own cross sections. The result reads as a classical subject rendered in the logic of a 3D scan.
The form. High grade optical clarity acrylic sheets are layered and bound along polished architectural steel support rods, then mounted onto an engineering grade custom plinth. The plinth is not neutral: its faces carry hand applied urban pop art graffiti spray work sealed under a high gloss automotive grade resin finish, so precision industrial fabrication sits directly on top of raw street surface.
Technology and interactivity. A professional smart digital screen is built into the front of the graffiti plinth, running high definition video loops that play against the sculpture above. Inside the base, an integrated smart sensory driver powers array based LED modules that project up through the acrylic contours in multi colour neon. The lighting is sound reactive, pulsing to ambient audio, music and conversation, so the sculpture responds continuously to the room it is in.
Exhibition history. First unveiled and acquired at the artist Central Park solo exhibition in 2023, a milestone showing in the HYPNOTIQ Xperience series.
Placement. Fully assembled and self contained as a plug and play installation, designed for gallery pedestals, private collector residences, luxury corporate lobbies and experiential design showrooms. Available as a bespoke private commission.
