ZEUS GOLD REVEAL | Classical Bust Resin Sculpture | HYPNOTIQ

An original contemporary artwork by Arian Lori-Amini, known professionally as HYPNOTIQ.
ZEUS GOLD REVEAL reworks the language of classical sculpture by splitting open a white Zeus bust to reveal a gold skull within. Created in 2024, the piece stages a direct collision between idealized antiquity and mortality.
The work. The outer Zeus form remains white, preserving the visual language of carved classical statuary. At the center, the fractured face exposes a metallic gold skull. The contrast is deliberate: white classical surface against gold memento mori, permanence against mortality, restraint against excess.
The form. Sculpted curls, beard and facial structure frame the reveal, while the gold skull becomes the visual core of the work. The sculpture is sealed in resin and installed on a custom resin base that is integral to the presentation.
Materials and craft. White sculptural Zeus form, metallic gold skull, resin coating and custom resin base, hand finished in the HYPNOTIQ studio.
