How to Commission a Custom Pop Art Sculpture — The HYPNOTIQ Process, Step by Step

A custom commission is the highest form of collector relationship with an artist. You're not selecting from existing inventory — you're co-creating an object that doesn't yet exist. The HYPNOTIQ commission process is structured to make this clear, transparent, and collaborative from first call to final install.

Step 1 — Discovery Call (Week 1)

30-minute consultation with Arian directly. We discuss your space (dimensions, lighting, existing decor), your inspiration (specific HYPNOTIQ collections, fashion references, music or pop culture motifs), your budget tier, and your timeline. No pressure to commit — this is mutual evaluation.

Step 2 — Creative Proposal (Week 2)

Within 7 days of the discovery call we send you a written creative proposal: concept sketches, materials specification, finish samples (gloss vs matte, color palette), proposed dimensions, integrated technology if any (sound-reactive, smart mannequin features), production timeline, and final price.

Step 3 — Approval and Deposit (Week 3)

You review the proposal, request any revisions, and approve. 50% deposit is required to begin production. Wire transfer, ACH, or credit card. The deposit secures your slot in the studio production queue.

Step 4 — Production (Weeks 4-9)

Production runs 4 to 8 weeks depending on complexity. Standard commissioned wall sculpture: 4 weeks. Smart mannequin pieces with embedded tech: 6 to 8 weeks. Monumental commissions: 10 to 14 weeks. You receive weekly progress photos and short video updates. Revisions during production are scoped at proposal stage — minor adjustments are included, major redirection is a change-order.

Step 5 — Final Approval and Balance (Pre-ship)

Before crating, we send you final HD photography and a video walkaround. You sign off on final approval, balance payment clears, and we crate.

Step 6 — Crating, Shipping, Install

Custom museum-grade crate, foam-fitted, climate-resistant lining, full transit insurance. Pieces over $2,500 ship with white-glove install option — our partner crew delivers, uncrates, positions, and removes packaging. For tech-enabled pieces we do a remote calibration call once you're set up.

Step 7 — COA and Ongoing Studio Relationship

Every piece ships with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, provenance documentation for future resale, and direct artist contact for the life of the piece. Tech-enabled pieces get remote firmware updates. You're now part of the collector network and get first-look access on future collections.
